Netflix is offering a cornucopia of new streaming options for subscribers to enjoy in the comfort of their homes or on their mobile device of choice this July. From original shows to top-notch films, Netflix has a massive number of compelling offerings lined up. Read on for all the highlights, then scroll down for a full list of what's new on Netflix.
Several popular house-produced projects debut this month, including season 3 of Stranger Things, season 4 of Queer Eye, the final season of Orange is the New Black, and a new stand-up comedy special from Whitney Cummings.
The streaming giant also has a wealth of entertaining films and series not produced in-house on tap this month, including Disney's Mary Poppins Returns, Inglourious Basterds, and both Caddyshack films.
Our top picks for July
Stranger Things: Season 3
The kids from Hawkins, Indiana, are back for another scary adventure in the third season of the award-winning Netflix series. Unfolding in the summer of 1985, the new season has Eleven and her friends dealing with love, life, and young adulthood when the latest supernatural threat emerges from the Upside Down. The series brings back much of its celebrated cast of young actors and their adult co-stars, and introduces a new element to the Stranger Things universe: The Starcourt Mall.
Orange is the New Black: Season 7
It all comes down to this: The final season of the hit series Orange is the New Black brings the long, dramatic, and often very funny saga of the female inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary to an end. Piper is walking free, but many of the friends she's made over the years remain behind bars. The cast and creator of the series have indicated that they're planning a grand sendoff for the characters, and promised that a few tears are likely, too.
Queer Eye: Season 4
Fresh off a two-season renewal, the Fab Five return for a fourth season of life-changing, heartwarming encounters with people in need of some new perspective and a nudge in the right direction. The award-winning Netflix series brings the gang to Kansas City, Missouri, this time around, so you can probably expect plenty of barbecue references to go along with all of the feel-good moments.
As usual, July is your last chance to watch a variety of shows and movies before they leave Netflix. Be sure to catch The Matrix trilogy, cinema classic Cool Hand Luke, and the first seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars before they disappear.
